Hi, I am Manuel Vogel, a Senior Cloud Solution Engineer with a master degreee in computer science and decade-long experience in production-ready software development ui language such as Java, Go and Typescript. I’m not just a Kubernetes pro, I’m a systems thinker obsessed with automation, focused on AWS and specialized in Cloud Native Development.

My approach
is to build, deploy, and manage modern applications that fully leverage cloud computing models to create scalable, resilient, and manageable software. For example:
- Microservices Architecture: Applications are broken into small, loosely coupled services that operate independently, allowing for agile development and independent scaling.
- Containerization: Services are packaged in containers (e.g., Docker) to ensure consistent execution across different environments, from development to production.
- Dynamic Orchestration: Tools like Kubernetes manage and automate the deployment, scaling, and operation of containerized applications to optimize resource usage.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Development and operations teams collaborate closely using continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to enable rapid, frequent, and reliable updates.
- Immutable Infrastructure: Servers and virtual machines are replaced rather than modified when updates are needed, creating a predictable and consistent deployment process.
Additionally, I hold a master degree in NLP (DVNLP), which provides me with the skills and calmness to navigate almost any human conversation.

Outside the Code
Active AWS community co‑organizer & speaker in the DACH region. Contributor to open‑source tools like awscdk‑rootmail and cdk‑vscode‑server. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of “everything-as-code.”

As a member of the Förderverein AWS Community DACH I am actively involved in the AWS community across the German-speaking regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. My goal is to minimize your risks by establishing standards in software architecture and quality, deployment strategies, pipelines, and automation. I am passionate about creating business value by accelerating the delivery of features and bug fixes. My expertise in designing, coding, deploying, running, and monitoring software benefits my clients immensely. To me, programming languages, frameworks, or technologies are simply tools for solving customer problems.

Free time
In my leisure time, I enjoy martial arts and exploring nature. This includes hiking up Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze, with my friends.
I thrive on physical and mental challenges shared with friends, believing that these experiences sharpen my ability to successfully complete projects at a high rate.
