Meet Manuel Vogel: Your ☁️ Cloud Transformation Partner
About

I am Manuel Vogel, a Senior Cloud Solution Engineer with a master’s Computer Science and decade-long experience in production-ready software development in Java, Go and Typescript, I’m not just an AWS & Kubernetes pro — I’m a systems thinker obsessed with automation. My mission? To empower teams to deploy smarter, faster, and safer with confidence than ever before.

⚒️ What I Do

  • Architect and implement AWS-native infrastructures using Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK, Terraform)
  • Automate full CI/CD pipelines—from development to production
  • Conduct Well‑Architected and security reviews to optimize performance and costs
  • Train and mentor DevOps teams for self-sustained excellence

Fully certified in AWS, as evidenced by my badges, I bring over 5 years of cloud experience and over a decade in the tech industry. During this time, I’ve crafted solutions emphasizing scale, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency. My work includes developing infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, as well as monitoring & logging solutions and backend services.

Additionally, I hold a master degree in NLP (DVNLP), which provides me with the skills and calmness to navigate almost any human conversation.

  • Credible proof: Certifications, open-source contributions, and big-name clients build instant trust.
  • Human & authoritative tone: Demonstrates both deep technical skill and a mentorship‑led approach.

Contributions

As a member of the Förderverein AWS Community DACH I am actively involved in the AWS community across the German-speaking regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I also co-organize events for the AWS User Group (UG) Frankfurt, which you can check out on meetup. Here’s a glimpse of some of these events:

Mindset

My goal is to minimize your risks by establishing standards in software architecture and quality, deployment strategies, pipelines, and automation. I am passionate about creating business value by accelerating the delivery of features and bug fixes. My expertise in designing, coding, deploying, running, and monitoring software benefits my clients immensely. To me, programming languages, frameworks, or technologies are simply tools for solving customer problems.

I believe in the value of contributing to the Open Source community, seeing it as both a responsibility and an honor. Together, we can develop software that’s faster, simpler, and more secure.

Those around me gain from the energy and motivation I exude, as well as the precise questions I ask.

I’m not one to shy away from addressing the proverbial elephant in the room.

Free time

In my leisure time, I enjoy martial arts and exploring nature. This includes hiking up Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze, with my friends.

I thrive on physical and mental challenges shared with friends, believing that these experiences sharpen my ability to successfully complete projects at a high rate.
